Bhopal victims want India to say no to London Olympics
Published On: December 13, 2011 | Duration: 2 min, 51 sec
Just two days are left for a crucial meeting of the Indian Olympic Association to decide on just how India should convey its anger over Dow chemicals as a sponsor of the London Games next year. Tomorrow, a delegation of gas tragedy victims, former Olympians, and activists will be meeting IOA President VK Mahotra to hand over a petition signed by nearly 1000 people demanding a boycott of the Olympics. They say India needs to take a tough stand, but other prominent sportspersons have said a boycott will serve no purpose and that politics should be kept out of sport.
