BHEL's net profit jumps 40% in 2010-11

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has reported a 40 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 6,021 crore in 2010-11 fiscal, driven by technological cost benefits and accounting policy changes. BHEL's shareholders have been paid an interim dividend of 132.5 per cent while the earnings per share climbed to Rs 123 per share.
