A police officer in Uttar Pradesh whose sting operation appeared to expose the corruption of a minister has been transferred by the government, suggesting he has been punished. As chairman of the Sugar Corporation, KC Pandey has the rank of a minister. He is also the national secretary of the ruling Samajwadi Party.
