Transferred for exposing the special treatment given to AIADMK leader Sasikala in prison, Deputy Inspector General D Roopa says that what she did was her duty and there is no basis for a defamation case against her. Kiran Bedi who had tweeted in supported of DIG D Roopa says that instead of transferring her, the government should have asked DIG D Roopa to probe further.
