Speaking to NDTV at the 2016 World Economic Forum in Davos, Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that China is an important partner for the island nation, as are countries in the West and Pakistan. Sri Lanka's relationship with India has suffered, Mr Wickremesinghe said, but declined to elaborate.
