Karnataka could be among the worst hit states if a drought is declared in the country this year. Farmers are struggling with their huge losses and many are migrating to look for work. But in a move that's attracted lots of criticism, the state government has ordered temples under it to spend money for special prayers for the rain. It is going to cost Rs 17 crore.
