Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee's frank admission that the government had put the FDI decision on hold because the Congress party did not want snap polls, has created a buzz among political circles. However, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni, rebuts charges that UPA II is a "lame duck" government, and says too much should not be read into just one bill.
