Coal India will consider hiking prices of low-grade coal if necessary, says chairman S. Narsing Rao. He adds that while some customers have demanded a cut in the price of high-grade coal due to falling global prices, Coal India is yet to decide on the issue. He also says that NTPC may not sign an FSA and continue to operate under an MoU.
