PNGRB order negative for all gas players, dampener for CGD growth: GAIL

BC Tripathi, CMD,GAIL told NDTV Profit that the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board's (PNGRB) order for PSU firm IGL to cut tariffs of both CNG, PNG by as much as 60 per cent on a retrospective basis from April 2008 is negative for all gas players including IGL. "The PNGRB order is a dampener for the growth of the city gas distribution (CGD) business," he said adding that he doesn't expect much reduction in tariffs, however.
