The new Corporate Affairs Minister Veerappa Moily said that he wants to reopen the Essar Loop case. The CBI has alleged that Essar - which already has interests in telecom via Vodafone-Essar - had used Loop Telecom as a front for getting 2G telecom licenses. But a 2011 report of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs had given Essar a clean chit. Now, Mr Moily, in an exclusive interview to NDTV's Sreenivasan Jain, says that since this is a controversial case, he very much wants to relook at it, and that his ministry has nothing to hide.
