Despite talk of a pick up in sentiment, the new project pipeline in the infrastructure sector remains thin, according to Vikram Limaye, deputy MD, IDFC. Limaye adds that the power sector remains constained due to the issues surrounding supply of fuel. The road sector too is seeing muted activity as developers remain uncertain about the ability to achieve financial closure on fresh projects.
