India's GDP grew by 5.3 per cent in the second quarter of the current financial year compared to 5.5 per cent in the previous quarter. The economy expanded at its slowest pace in three years in the quarter, suggesting little signs of an early turnaround, despite reform steps taken by the government to lure back investors.
