Himanshu Kapania, managing director at Idea Cellular, said drop in interconnect charges from 20 paise to 14 paise, which was effective from March 1, 2015, hit its profitability in the first quarter of FY16. Due to the change in IUC, the company took a hit of Rs 317 crore in the Q1, said Mr Kapania.
