The new Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal, who termed the CAG's Rs 1.76 lakh crore figure of loss due to the 2G spectrum allocation as utterly erroneous, has now got some backing from Planning Commission's Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia. He, however, insisted that all licences that were improperly awarded should be cancelled.
