NPAs and restructured assets may continue to rise next year says, Vibha Batra, senior vice president and co-head of financial sector at ICRA. The credit rating agency expects bad loans to continue, especially in stressed sectors like power. ICRA, however, says that a capital problem in the banking industry is unlikely, despite the build-up of bad loans.
