The Aditya Birla group has gone from the number four to top producer of carbon black in the world. The Aditya Birla Group has announced a definitive agreement to acquire the Atlanta-based Columbian Chemicals Company in a $875-million (around Rs 4,100 crore) deal. The group hopes to complete the deal by mid-2011.
