The acrimony between the operators and the regulator has already forced the Prime Minister's Office to step in which has written to DoT suggesting that the issue be referred to the same empowered group of ministers who set the guidelines for the 3G auction. The DoT faced with a faceoff between the regulator and the operators wants to wait and watch.
