A convoy of AIADMK leaders who support O Panneerselvam was stopped by the police as it made its way to a resort on the outskirts of Chennai where party chief VK Sasikala is huddled with about 120 legislators. The team has been turned back to Chennai by the police, which has also imposed prohibitory orders banning large large groups near the resort. Team Panneerselvam said it wanted to bring away 11 legislators who want to join them but are being pressured to stay at the resort.
