Will banning Pakistani talent from Hindi films stop terrorism? This was the question posed by producer-director Karan Johar who has been told by Raj Thackeray's MNS that his new film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will not be allowed to run in Maharashtra cinemas. The movie stars Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, and the MNS as well as the Shiv Sena have demanded that the industry boycott all Pakistani actors and artistes in the aftermath of the terror attack in Uri. Pakistani actors were warned by the MNS to leave India in 48 hours and the Shiv Sena has demanded that those who give them work be booked. Speaking exclusively to NDTV on The Towhall, Karan Johar said that he understands and shares the rage and anguish of people but banning talent from Pakistan was not the solution to terrorism. "Today, I feel I am a vulnerable soft target... sometimes you want to, with folded hands, say that we are a creative industry, please leave us alone, we make movies, we spread love," he said.
