A cyclist was hit by a lorry in Howrah, West Bengal, early this morning and lay there in pain for at least 30 minutes without any help from local people or passers by. Someone did inform the police who came and took him to a local hospital half an hour later. He was shifted to a government hospital in Kolkata later but he died late in the evening.
