With the Winter session of Parliament coming to an end soon, we ask whether too much of Parliament's time was spent tackling scandals and ensuing disruptions? This week, we saw Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi make a brief appearance in court to get bail in the National Herald case. It was a small victory for the Congress as one of the litigants Dr Subramanian Swamy has asserted that 2016 would see the Gandhis charged of their crime and possibly even sentenced. What does all that mean for the nation? Will the Parliament continue to be disrupted over scandals big and small? Has this hampered the process of law-making?
