Joining the 12-hour-long Cleanathon, Actor Gul Panag said that it would help the cause of cleanliness if we take ownership of public property and cleaned them up. "We need to stop assuming that it will all go away by itself. If each one of us actually cleans up 10 yards of our surroundings, we would be completely sorted", she added. She also praised the Narendra Modi government for pushing the Swachh India initiative and said that this should've been done much earlier. "It's finally getting it's due."
