Wife of dead sandalwood smuggler Veerappan, V Muthulakshmi, today hit out at filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma's bilingual flick 'Veerappan', claiming it had portrayed her husband in an improper way and urged the public not to watch the movie.

The Madras High Court today permitted the widow of sandalwood smuggler Veerappan to conduct 'Annadanam' (feeding the poor) on his 11th death anniversary but made it clear that only the ritual and no other activity can be performed.
