A woman official in the Punjab Sales Tax department has been arrested along with her husband from neighbouring Tarn Taran district on charges of spying for Pakistan. Police also suspect that the woman had links with Pakistan-based terror outfits and intelligence agencies.

The body of a 14-year-old school boy, who was kidnapped two days back, was found on Tuesday in Bhuchar village of Tarn Taran district in Punjab. Police said the victim's uncle, Surkit Kumar, who allegedly hatched a conspiracy for ransom, has been arrested.
