Swine Flu Deaths.

Two more people died of swine flu in Telangana since yeterday, taking the toll to 36. Government-run Gandhi Hospital, which is the state nodal centre for swine flu, reported two more deaths. The dead include an eight-month-old child.

Swine flu claimed its first victim in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh when a retired army man died late on Tuesday after the drug used in the treatment, Tamiflu, could not be made available, an official said on Wednesday.

A total of 39 people tested positive for swine flu on Tuesday, taking the number of people infected by the Influenza A (H1N1) virus in the capital to 1,137, an official said. There were no reports of any more deaths.

As many as 254 lives have been lost in the country due to swine flu during the current year till February 24, with Rajasthan reporting maximum of 105 deaths.

A total of 45 more people tested positive for swine flu on Sunday, taking the number of people infected by the Influenza A (H1N1) virus in the city to 759, an official said. There were no new deaths.

A total of 37 people tested positive for swine flu on Monday, taking the number of people infected by the Influenza A (H1N1) virus in the capital to 457, an official said. There were no further deaths.

Bangalore is rushing to buy masks. The city has seen 11 swine flu deaths.
