In fresh violence reported in Assam, a man was attacked and his vehicle was set afire by unidentified men around 10.30 pm on Wednesday in Baksa district in lower Assam. In the retaliatory violence a bridge was torched in the area.

On Thursday, when we went to the Commerce College relief camp in Kokrajhar town, it was in a mess. People were scattered around in four rooms and a huge auditorium. Even basic facilities like water and a clean toilet were at a premium.
