Gaurav Jyoti Neog, the former Newslive reporter who is accused of "planning and directing" the ghastly mob attack on a teenage girl in Guwahati, has been sent to police custody for three days. He was arrested yesterday.

The Editor-in-Chief of Newslive, the TV channel that recorded and aired the brutal molestation of a Class XI Guwahati student last week, resigned today. He however insisted that his channel did nothing wrong.
