As the row over Italy's refusal to send back two marines to India to face a murder trial rages on, the mother of one of them has said that "justice has been done".

Italy today voiced confidence that the case of its two marines, facing trial in a Kerala court in connection with the shooting to death of two Indian fishermen, will be solved in accordance with National laws and International justice.

Italian Deputy Defence Minister Admiral (Retd) Giampaolo Di Paola is arriving in Kochi on Saturday night to meet the two Italian marines facing trial for shooting dead two Indian fishermen in February this year.

The State government would take a decision on the Supreme Court directive to consider the plea for transferring to a guest house the two marines on board Italian ship 'Enrica Lexie', arrested in connection with the killing of two Indian fishermen, after getting the Supreme Court order, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said.
