After initially being rejected, Kashmiri teenager Sufaira Jan has now been given a passport. The 15-year-old has been offered a scholarship by the US, but was denied a passport earlier - just because her uncle was a militant even before she was born.

A spate of online abuses against Kashmir's only girl rock band Pragaash, which apparently forced the members to call it quits, has got the police acting. Three people were arrested on Wednesday night from different parts of Kashmir for allegedly threatening the girls.
