In another instance of hooliganism in Uttar Pradesh, the house of a dalit family was allegedly torched by Samajwadi Party (SP) workers in Sitapur district on Wednesday night. The victims allege that some policemen and SP workers were involved in the incident.

Two persons were seriously injured and about 50 houses torched in a clash between two groups in Chandili area of Odisha's Rayagada district, police said on Thursday. The clash took place between residents of nearby Sanachandili-Badachandili and Kalahandipada-Nuapada villages over a trivial matter on Wednesday evening.
