The central government has sought from all states the number of Muslim youths involved in terror cases lodged in jails, Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said on Wednesday while favouring fast track courts to deal with such cases.

A Pakistani prisoner who was attacked in a jail in Jammu early this morning "is stable and under medical watch," India's Ministry of External Affairs said this evening. He was airlifted to Chandigarh earlier today.
