Criminal Cases Against Cops In Kerala

Kerala police launched a preliminary investigation into a complaint filed against former prisons DGP R Sreelekha alleging that she failed to act against the prime accused in an 2017 assault case despite being aware of his criminal antecedents.

An RTI filed by Advocate DB Binu has revealed that at least 533 officials in Kerala Police have criminal cases lodged against them. The officials ranging from the civil police officer to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) are in the list.
