China has responded to India's objection of its new "standard" map - which claims ownership of Arunachal Pradesh and the Aksai Chin region in eastern Ladakh - insisting it is "the country's normal exercise of sovereignty in accordance with the law".

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Wednesday said that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has more faith in what China states rather than in his own country's foreign ministry and defence ministry personnel.
