As many as 431 nominations were filed for June 12 by-polls to one Lok Sabha and 18 Assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh as the nomination process ended.For the 18 Assembly seats, 412 candidates filed their nominations while for the Nellore Lok Sabha seat 19 nominations were filed, according to Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal.

The notification for next month's crucial by-elections to one Lok Sabha and 18 assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh will be issued on Friday. Nominations will be accepted from 11 am today to 3 pm on May 25 and the polling will be held on June 12, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Bhanwar Lal told reporters in Hyderabad on Thursday.
