A fresh demand for the grant of special category status to Bihar was raised inside the assembly on Friday by a key aide of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who is now in the BJP-led NDA.

The stage is set for the fifth and final round of voting for 57 seats in the Bihar Assembly poll. Voting will take place tomorrow to decide the fate of senior minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav of JD(U) and RJD Legislature party leader Abdul Bari Siddiqui among others.

Expanding utilities of Post offices, the Centre is planning to open 1,000 ATMs (Automated Teller Machines) all over the country to provide facility of cash withdrawal round the clock, Union Information and Technology Minister Ravishankar Prasad said today.
