A local Congress leader in Secundrabad was injured with six bullets piercing into his body in an attack witnessed by bystanders and caught on CCTV.
Yadagiri was rushed to a hospital and his condition is said to be stable.
The attackers on a motorbike in Old Bowenpalli fired at the Congress leader and escaped. The footage shows one of the attackers firing multiple rounds at Yadgiri even as he lay flat on the ground.
Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy also visited the scene of the firing.
Yadagiri is reportedly into real estate and liquor businesses.
