The state government would build Outer Ring Road for the city and promote tourism at the Warangal Fort and the tanks built by the Kakatiya rulers, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said.
The Telangana government would provide Rs 300 crore annually in the state budget for the development of Warangal, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said in Warangal on Tuesday.
Mr Rao, who had a review of development of Warangal during a visit to the town, said the Centre had chosen Warangal for implementation of its smart city and 'AMRUT' schemes.
Warangal has already got a health university and it would soon have a textile park, he said.

He also laid emphasis on several civic issues including construction of double-bed room houses for poor, bus bays, burial grounds and sanitation in the city.
