Hyderabad: Nine fresh cases of swine flu have been reported in Telangana, while 77 people have succumbed to the H1NI virus since the beginning of the year.
"Since January one, 7,374 samples were tested of which 2,275 were found to be positive. The number of deaths because of swine flu and related complications is 77," a state government release said.
Nine out of the 38 samples sent for analysis yesterday were found positive for the virus. "The number of positive cases reported in the last six days (upto April 1) is 15, 8, 19, 10, 13 and 9," it added.
