Srinagar: The air traffic at Srinagar airport fully resumed today - more than a week after it was disrupted due to poor visibility because of dense fog.

Normal flight operations took place today as visibility improved, Director Airport Authority of India (AAI), Srinagar airport, Sharad Kumar told PTI.

Mr Kumar said all 18 flights landed at the airport today, which then took-off as well.

The flight operations at the airport remained badly affected due to poor visibility over the past more than a week.

The operations were first hit on Thursday last week when the afternoon flights had to be cancelled due to poor visibility as a thick layer of fog engulfed the Valley.

Afterwards, all the flights, except two on Saturday, were cancelled till Wednesday this week when the flight operations improved as four flights were able to land at the airport in the morning.

However, the afternoon flights were cancelled due to poor visibility.

Five flights landed at the airport in the morning yesterday, but the afternoon flights were again cancelled.
