Two Andhra Pradesh government employees held on bribery charge

Hyderabad: Two Andhra Pradesh government employees including an inspector of Survey and Land Records Department were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on charges of corruption, officials said today.

The duo who worked in the office of Assistant Director, Survey of Land Records at Karimnagar was produced before Second Additional Special Judge for ACB Cases in Hyderabad and sent to judicial remand, an ACB official said.

N Rajamouli, Inspector of Survey and Land Records and Kota Rama Swamy, an Attender, were caught red-handed by the ACB officials yesterday when they demanded and accepted a bribe amount of Rs 15,000 from a complainant for demarcation of his land.

Rajamouli allegedly took the bribe through his attender, according to ACB.
