The Tamil Nadu government has reserved 25 per cent of the seats in private schools and self-financing schools (non-minority) for poor children at the primary level of entry, and the respective schools had been asked to distribute applications from today.
According to officials, the applications should be filled and submitted before May 11.
The list of selected students would be displayed on May11. If the number of applications were more than the prescribed 25 per cent, then the children will be selected on lot basis, officials said.
