Six die in fire at film set in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Six people, including a five month old baby were killed after a massive fire broke out in some sheds of a film set and spread to a nearby residential building at Manikonda on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Sunday night, police said.

The police suspect that some inflammable materials related to film making may have caused the fire to spread.

It took more than three hours for fire-fighters to put out the fire as they ran out of water supply and water tankers had to be arranged.

"The water did run out. Water tankers were brought in and the fire was brought under control," explained Tirumal Rao, the police commissioner of Cyberabad.

A short circuit is believed to have caused the fire.

The chief minister has sought a report and the home minister has ordered an inquiry.

This is the second accident in Hyderabad within a month involving film crew causing death due to negligence. A child was killed when an actress who reportedly did not know how to drive rammed the vehicle into the sidewalk of a park during a shoot sequence.
