Bangalore:
BR Nikshep, ranked number1 in the under-14 boys singles in Asia as well as in the country, has been selected for the Indian boys under-14 team for the World Junior Tennis Championships (Asia Oceania Zone) scheduled at Kuching, Malaysia, from April 28 to May 6.
The other members of the team, which was announced by the All India Tennis Association (AITA) are Alex Solanki (Delhi) and Aryan Goveas (Maharashtra). Sunil Yajaman of Karnataka has also been named the non-playing captain and manager.
The top four teams from the Asia Oceania Zone tournament will qualify for the World Junior finals scheduled to be held at Prostejov in the Czech Republic in the first week of August. India finished third in the last year's World Junior finals.
