Warmth - Nandini Ramasubramanian
Why is it that in the heat of my anger I am so cold? I feel no warmth and my world is practical--- sans moral feelings.
Need one be told that there is warmth in love alone? Then why do I -- in my heat--- Not feel the love, when I am cold?
We need no philosophy, only rationality, To answer the above. To give reason a chance We need just try others’ shoes just once The coldness would disappear Warmth within would wind its way down the cheeks In the form of tears.
We live but once and the mist around us is never cleared We have nothing to lose by a smile given A friendly pat made, an encouraging word said.
Warmth clears the mist with each of these gestures, And the purity, the bliss, the goodness we crave for Will be ours.
