Pune:
The vice-principal of Pune's Don Bosco school has been sent to judicial custody till February 11 on charges of molesting a student.
61-year-old Father Falcao was arrested on January 22 after a 14-year-old class 9 student alleged he tried to molest her.
He had earlier been sent to police custody for six days
The police informed court today that he was allegedly involved in similar act while he was in a Mumbai school.
Don Bosco School has denied all allegations. "The institution categorically denies the allegations framed on the vice principal...The institution gives the highest priority to the security and care of its students," the school had said in a statement.
Father Falcao had joined one of Pune's most famous schools about six months ago.
Teachers supporting him claim the girl who accused him of molesting her was upset as he had reprimanded her for using her cellphone in school.
