Flamboyant Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh has been nominated for the Arjuna Award by the BCCI. His thoughts and message however was crystal clear. "Stay positive to beat cancer."
Yuvraj, who played a crucial role in India's World Cup win last year, is targeting the World T20 in September for his comeback, and is rehabilitating at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.
But the flamboyant batsman added that a few minutes of training had him tired. "It was not a bad session, for the first time after about six months. I got tired after about 15 minutes but I am sure every day will be a better day," Yuvraj said.
Yuvraj is physically not very strong and is working on building strength. He had taken chemotherapy sessions in the United States before returning to India in April to continue his rehabilitation.

He said: "I wanted to go and take guard today but I was happy to hit a few balls and see my team-mates. I am happy to see my friends and of course the crowd. It's nice to be back among my team-mates and friends. It's special today," he said. (AFP PHOTO)
Asked about the chances of Pune Warriors in the tournament, Yuvraj said, "The team is playing well. Dada (Sourav Ganguly) is leading the team well. The younger players are doing well. You never know we can go to the final." (AFP PHOTO/Punit PARANJPE)
Pune skipper Ganguly, meanwhile, was happy to see Yuvraj come to boost the morale of the team. "It's good to see him, he's in the dug out," Ganguly said. (AFP PHOTO)
