A day after creating history in Punjab by winning a second consecutive term in the assembly elections, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and his family offered prayers at the Harmandar Sahib, popularly known as Golden Temple.

he Shiromani Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alliance has won 68 seats in the 117-member assembly. It is for the first time in over four decades that an incumbent government will rule the state for a consecutive term.
