Rain Nightmare Redux For Delhi, Gurgaon As Traffic Crawls

Delhi and Gurgaon braced for massive traffic jams as unusually heavy rain came pouring down on Wednesday morning after the sky went dark.

The Gurgaon police advised "patience and discipline" as traffic slowed down.

Heavy rain disrupts traffic movement in several parts of Delhi and Gurgaon.

Commuters complained of poor visibility.

The Gurgaon police issued a traffic advisory on Twitter requesting people to maintain lane discipline to avoid jams.

Many commuters in Gurgaon feared a repeat of last month's flooding on National Highway-8.

Social media was deluged with images of waterlogging and clogged roads.

On Monday US Secretary of State John Kerry was among those stuck in traffic when pouring rain and flooded roads slowed down cars.
