A 25-year-old engineer was declared brain dead at Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj, where he was admitted after he met with an accident. The Fortis Organ Retrieval and Transplant (FORT) team then approached the brother of the deceased, who agreed to donate the organs. Here are a few pictures of how a green corridor was created to successfully transport a heart from Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj to Fortis Escorts, Okhla, to save a life.
Moments before a life saving journey was about to begin in Delhi NCR as Fortis Hopitals in collaboration with Delhi Traffic Police created a Green Corridor.

A green corridor was created to successfully transport a donor heart from Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj to Fortis Escorts, Okhla.
The ambulance carrying the beating heart proceeded smoothly through the Green Corridor.
On reaching Fortis Escorts, Okhla, the live heart was urgently rushed inside, completing the journey of saving a life.
