The queue with a net worth of over $70 billion: India's business tycoons wait patiently to meet US President Barack Obama, described as the most powerful man in the world.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Barack Obama meet top CEOs from India and the US during the India-US CEO Forum, at Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi.

Talking to members of the India-US CEO Forum, PM Modi pitched for heavy investment in infrastructure and agriculture in India to boost purchasing power, and help the economy grow.

17 Indian CEOs attended the US-Indo CEO forum. Others on the forum from the Indian side include Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries Limited, his younger brother Anil Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Group, Bharti chief Sunil Mittal, ICICI Bank MD & CEO Chanda Kochhar, Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka, Adani Group head Gautam Adani, Shashi Ruia, Chairman of Essar Group, Mahindra & Mahindra Chairman Anand Mahindra, Hari Bhartia, co-chairman and director of Jubilant Life Sciences, Biocon Chairman and MD Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw and Sudhir Mehta of Torrent Pharma.

After the discussion with the CEOs, it was time for some tea.

The two leaders then addressed a larger business gathering at the same venue.

President Obama at the India-US Business Summit: "I am excited that not only is the US investing in India but a lot of Indians are investing in the US...but we have got to do better."

Speaking at the India-US Business Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised that he would "personally monitor from the PMO," all big projects.
